Iidabashi, Kudan, Ichigaya, Kitanomaru Event Plan exhibition "trace 1945-1952 from occupation to independence" special for 75 years after the war

Japanese sense of values greatly transforms after (1945), this age in 1945. Japanese citizen whom defeat was told to by sweet voice broadcast to be made from radio at the midday of August 15, the same year has begun to walk confusion and economic distress for "revival" in spite of being employee. However, it loses family, and it loses living house and property, and it is full of difficulties in the severe situation that food and supplies are short to accomplish "revival" by oneself.
On September 2, the same year, Japan was placed under occupation of allied forces after the signing to surrender document, and policy and "revival" that raised the cause of instruction by GHQ, "non-militarization" and "democratization" were promoted. Moreover, new order was established by chaotic Japanese society, and people's life greatly transformed.
In this exhibition, San Francisco Peace Treaty takes effect on the end of the war on April 28, 1952 and, for six years eight months before Japan achieving independence, introduces Japanese society and life, change of culture after the war mainly on so-called occupation period.
