Around the Keicho era year (1,596-1,615), it is said that we opened vegetable market that there was at Tamachi 1 (existing multi-town 2).
The city greatly developed after the big fire (1,657) of the Meiryaku era and became the Edo Shogunate order market and prospered.
Name of a street turned into "multi-town" with turnout of town, too, and the Kanda bluish-skinned fish market continued for about 270 years until we moved to Akihabara in 1928 (3, Showa).
